Calamity Jane is one of the most influential cornerstones of early 90’s PNW punk, they formed in 1988 in Olympia, WA then relocated to Portland,OR in 1989. Known for their "driving rock riff****, their album Martha Jane Cannary (1991) was applauded by the music press, charting in the PNW Top 20(1992). Named as an inspiration by countless musicians and have been hailed as Riot grrrl pioneers, one of Grunge's sublime all-female outfits. They remain active performing shows in 2010, 2016, and 2026
